Giving Back To The Community

Doug and Mike believe that we as architects have a responsibility to the community around us and have led by example in their community activities.

In 2002, Doug was the recipient of The Arizona Architects Medal which recognized his accomplishments that have made a significant impact on the profession of architecture and upon society.

His efforts in the ongoing annual Turkey Trot were recognized in 2002 when he was given the Mountain States Region Award for Outstanding Community Service in Raising Funds. In addition, Doug has served in many local organizations such as the Arizona Trail Association, PRIDE (Phoenix Residential Incentive Development Effort) and Urban Land Institute.

Mike has dedicated much of his time to volunteering on local Planning and Zoning Commissions. He is a past chairman of the Chandler Planning and Zoning Commission and is currently a member of the Queen Creek Planning Commission. Additionally, he is a member of the San Tan Historical Society and a member of the Town of Queen Creek Library Design Committee.

Whitneybell Perry employees are encouraged to participate in community activities and they have responded with memberships in the local American Institute of Architects chapter, local United States Green Building Council chapter and the International Code Council.
