Challenges
- Fit a 130-room hotel on a 0.6-acre site – required efficient design and multiple City variances
- Limit height of building to four stories above the podium in order to utilize Type V-A construction (wood-frame)
- Take a prototype aloft hotel design and customize to this site while maintaining the aloft “brand”.
